Micro-Mini Update

Since so many of you have been asking so kindly, this is where Hank's at:

We expect his nissen surgery (which will be laparoscopic, a good thing!) will be on Tuesday with several days recovery. Depending on the time frame, either Ron will travel home with him Memorial Day weekend or we will tag-team off and I will head down. Either way, the PLAN is for Henry to come home SOON SOON SOON and get on with LIFE LIFE LIFE! :-) Til next time....

  1. Hi Chris and Ron........I am your Mom's (Shirley's)friend from way back....early 60's Candor C.S. days. We taught together. We got back in touch several years ago.
Anyway, I've been following your blogs with great amazement and interest as to Henry's progress and all the ups and downs. I recently traveled to Israel/Holy Land and want you to know I left a prayer for him in the Western Wall (aka Wailing Wall). There are lots of small cracks and crevices into which people of all faiths slip prayers for those in need. Chris, you are such a great writer and describe everything in such detail and readability and I'm sure everyone follows what you write with great interest. I pray for Henry all the time, along with many others on my daily prayer list and I'm confident he is in such good hands, his progress will be uphill and good as he grows stronger every day. It has not been easy for you, as a family, I know but keep faith that, although slow and perhaps with some minor setbacks from time to time, he will develop and be a big, strong healthy boy. He, like all of us, were born for a purpose and over time, will fulfill God's expectations. May you all have God's richest blessings for strength and endurance through the whole process. They do "wonders" now with cleft surgery so when they get him all fixed up and strong enough for that challenge, he will smile and talk and eat like all his little friends. If I may, I would urge you to find some good and faithful local prayer partners or clergy to support and encourage you as you face the future. Perhaps they might be available through the children's hospital there and also once you are back, within your own community in NY. They can be of great assistance and comfort to you. I'll be waiting to hear the good news after the nissen procedure but the best news will be when you are finally at home together again as a family. In the meantime, my prayers will continue for you and the whole family. God Bless! Janet Hart
